COPS are hunting five men believed to be involved in a casino shooting that left one suspect dead a police officer seriously injured in Atlantic City.
The uniformed officer, who has not been identified, was rushed into surgery after he was shot close to the parking garage of Caesar's Casino.
He was gunned down at around 2.34am on Saturday as he went to check on a group of people suspected of being "engaged in criminal activity".
His partner dodged the bullets and shot down one of the suspects.
Five others however, remain at large, says Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Diane Ruberton.
Investigators have released video footage showing two groups of three men.
A $20,000 reward for information is being awarded to those who can help track down the men in the CCTV footage, according to .
NJ PBA Association President Patrick Colligan said in a statement: "Our hearts are heavy at this hour, but our resolve to captured these suspects remains undeterred.
"We ask for prayers for the officer, his family, and the Atlantic City Police Department."
Atlantic City police chief Henry White said shots were fired after police stopped a vehicle with three men inside.
It's alleged that at least one of the men opened fire at cops - striking one.
The officers returned fire, killing one of the suspects.

US cops with long guns were in the area as emergency services flooded the area.
