Convicted heroin dealer ‘segregated’ after posting obscene steroids jab selfie from jail showers
Lag Wade Cox, 25, used a smuggled phone to put the image online but has been segregated for it
A JAILED heroin dealer has been segregated after posting a selfie of a steroids injection into his bare bottom.
Wade Cox, 25, who is serving at HMP Risley, Cheshire, allegedly posted the disturbing image to SnapChat using a smuggled phone.
The obscene photo apparently shows Cox pointing a syringe into his buttocks with a selection of shower gels in the background.
He is also alleged to have shared other selfies of himself posing with a pal as well images of a McDonald’s wrapper, a bag of pills and a bottle of steroids called “Infiniti” and a selection of phones.
He has since been placed in segregation and stripped of privileges after prison staff were alerted to the images.
It’s the second time the shameless jailbird, from Droylsden, Manchester, has hit headlines this year after he posted images of his sick tattoo tribute to “cop killer” Dale Creegan.
The vile inking features featured a grenade next to the initials of the killer, who murdered WPCs Nicola Hughes, 23, and Fiona Bone, 32, in 2012.
A source said Cox and his friend had boasted on SnapChat about having steroids delivered through the window of a cell using drones.
Cox was sentenced to three years in prison in January after police last year discovered drugs stuffed between his buttocks during a raid on his home in Oldham, Greater Manchester.
A Prison Service spokesperson said: “This behaviour is completely unacceptable. This offender has been placed in segregation, has been stripped of his privileges and will be moved to a more secure prison as a result of this.
“We are determined to do all we can to prevent prisoners having access to mobile phones and we are stepping up measures to find and block them and empowering prison officers to take action.”
