Daredevil tourists fling themselves off 22-storey high swing that dangles 330ft over Amsterdam
The 'Over The Edge' swing offers stunning views of the Dutch capital
A SWING which is the tallest in Europe has been giving thrill seeking tourists a birds eye view of the Dutch city of Amsterdam.
Called 'Over The Edge" it is 330ft above ground on the roof of a 22-storey skycraper.
These photos show just how terrifying the swing could be to some as users are propelled over the lip of the building with nothing but thin air between them and the ground below.
However, thanks to its low velocity and seatbelts, it means even daredevil youngsters can give it a try.
The swing has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city.
It sits on top of the former Shell Tower in central Amsterdam.
The building is now a creative hub with night clubs, restaurants and art galleries, as well as a number of tech companies in situ.
The rooftop, which has been branded as the 'A'DAM Lookout' - opened in late August.
With a 360 degree view, it attracts visitors from all over the world.
May, who was visiting for her 18th birthday from Australia said: "The swing was awesome, I felt like a little bird up there!"
The swing has views of the infamous Red Light District, the port and Amsterdam's historical centre.
Other stories
Shell moved out of the building in 2009 and it was renamed A'DAM in 2014 when it was taken over by artistic investors.
Its name stands for Amsterdam Dance and Music.
The aim was to create an attraction which would rival the London Eye, the Eiffel Tower and Berlin Fernsehturm.
Although it is much higher than a number of other swings suspended above the ground, it is nowhere near as high up as the swing on top of the Stratosphere Hotel in Las Vegas
Tickets cost € 12,50 for an adult and € 6,50 for children to try out the swing.
