WHAT ARE YOU DOING HEIR?

Joggers do double take when they spot none other than Prince Charles walking through Green Park

THESE joggers did a hilarious double take after realising they had just run past Prince Charles as he went for a walk in London today.

Off for their daily run, candid snaps of the pair show the men make their way past the Prince and his entourage before realising they have just crossed paths with royalty.

Heir to the throne Charles was in Green Park today to sow seeds for a wildflower meadow named in honour of The Queen.

He joined school kids in distributing yellow rattle flower seeds to start the new grassland, which is to mark 60 years since his mother was crowned.

The project, started by Charles himself three years ago in 2013, has created a new meadow in every county in Britain.

The Queen’s Meadow in Green Park is now the 90th Coronation Meadow – and it also marks her 90th birthday earlier this year.

The Prince is patron of The Rare Breeds Survival Trust, The Wildlife Trusts and Plantlife, the three charities running the project.

Speaking at the planting, Rachel de Thame, Plantlife's vice president, called for everyday people to continue creating new meadows across the nation.

She said: “The 90th meadow in London is just the beginning.

"We want to see the meadows revival reach every community and really start to restore the colour and diversity to our countryside.

“And it's not just about the flowers.

"Wonderful meadow plants like ragged-Robin, lady's mantle, burnet saxifrage and eyebright - but the wildlife they sustain.

“From bees collecting nectar from buttercups to goldfinches feasting on knapweed seeds and common blue butterfly caterpillars eating bird's-foot-trefoil leaves, if we all do our bit to bring wild flowers back - as I've started to do in my own meadow at home - we have a chance to help nature re-build its fragile balance and regain its full glory.”
