A PENSIONER who drove the wrong way down the M5 smashing into 15 cars has died.
Graham Teesdale, 83, drove his blue Vauxhall Vectra down the fast lane of the busy motorway on August 30 at 6.30pm.
Dramatic dashcam footage showed the pensioner speeding down the M5 between junctions 26 and 25 northbound.
He crashed into 15 other cars before coming to a stop where he was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Avon and somerset police today confirmed Graham had sadly died as they appealed for witnesses to the incident.
Remarkably, there were no other serious injuries following the horror smash.
Paramedics treated casualties for shock and minor injuries and only half the cars involved were safe enough to drive away.
The accident caused long queues and the highway was temporarily closed.
Sally Clarey, 43, who captured the shocking footage said the motorist seemed "completely oblivious" to everyone around him.
