Who designed Minnie Mouses' new look?

For the first time in Minnie Mouses' 93-year-history, she will now be rocking a pantsuit for the celebration of Disneyland Paris' 30th Anniversary.

The new look was created by Stella McCartney.

"I am delighted to be working with the one, the only, the iconic Minnie Mouse," McCartney said in a statement, via .

"What I love about Minnie is the fact that she embodies happiness, self-expression, authenticity and that she inspires people of all ages around the world. Plus, she has such great style!"

When talking about the design, McCartney revealed that Minnie's new look is inspired by one of her own iconic costumes.

"I wanted Minnie to wear her very first pantsuit at Disneyland Paris, so I have designed one of my iconic costumes – a blue tuxedo – using responsibly sourced fabrics," the designer explained.

Adding: "This new take on her signature polka dots makes Minnie Mouse a symbol of progress for a new generation. She will wear it in honor of Women's History Month, in March 2022. I can't wait for you to see this new look at Walt Disney Studios Park!"

What have people said about Minnie's new look?

Since the release of Minnie's new look, many have had mixed opinions of it.

Candance Owens openly discussed her views on-air during Wednesday's Fox News broadcast, claiming that Disney is trying to distract people from real issues by “trying to destroy fabrics of our society.”

“This is why people don’t take these people seriously,” Owens said.

“They’re taking all of these things that nobody was offended by. It’s like they have to get rid of them and destroy them because they’re bored. You know, they’re absolutely bored.”

She later went on to claim this is an attempt to distract people from real political and economic issues.

“They’re trying to destroy fabrics of our society, pretending that there’s issues so everybody looks over here," Owens continued. "Look at Minnie Mouse, don’t look at inflation, [Jesse Watters]. Look at Minnie Mouse!

"The world is going forward because you’ve got her in a pantsuit. Never mind that you can’t get anything at the grocery store and you can’t buy a piece of bacon unless you’ve got $30 in your pocket. At least we’re addressing the real problem, which is Minnie Mouse!”

Other users on Twitter seemed to share Owens' opinion with one writing: "More woke bs. The design's nice, but we're talking about a character that is almost 100 years old. The og look is timeless, and the whole point of it was to differentiate her from Mickey(especially back in the 20s). Minnie in a suit makes her look like Mickey in a suit."

Despite some negative feedback, there are others who have expressed different opinions based on Owens' comments.

One user added, "Oh look, there's Minnie Mouse in pants. Somehow, not destroying the fabric of society. Just being an adorable cartoon mouse, as one does."

Another wrote, "If things like Minnie Mouse changing outfits can destroy your society than it was worthless to begin with."
