‘Best footage yet’ released of mythical seven-foot Yowie roaming the Australian outback
Bushwalker's claims of Yowie sighting in Queensland mountain range ignites new debate about 'Australian Bigfoot'
A CREATURE bearing a striking resemblance to the mythical Yowie is believed to have been caught on camera in amazing footage as it makes its way through the outback in Australia.
The video, shared on the Yowie Hunters Youtube page, depicts a dark beast walking through dense forest in New South Wales.
A ranger can be heard excitedly exclaiming "It's too dark to be a kangaroo” in the 20 second clip.
As he finishes speaking, the unidentified animal, which seems to be walking in a hunched over fashion, can be seen in the distance as it makes its way through the trees.
The beast is around 100 metres from the witnesses filming the clip.
The creatures, part of Aboriginal folklore, are believed to live in the outback away from people.
A walker recently claimed to have discovered one of the mythical creatures while making their way through Queensland’s Darling Downs, near Toowoomba.
The woman, who requested anonymity, said she was just six metres from the apelike animal at one point.

Speaking at the time of the claim, she described a “muscular seven-foot tall creature with a head like a gorilla and long arms”.
She told Yowie Hunter researcher Dean Harrison: "I tried to get it to turn around but I was scared and didn't want to aggravate him."
Harrison, the man behind the Australian Yowie Research website, said there had been a whopping 10 Yowie sightings in Queensland in the past five years alone.
He added: "The sighting was credible.
“It has all the tell-tale signs of the other sightings.
“The creature was muscular, had no neck, deep eye ridges and broad shoulders."
While most believe Yowies are a mere legend, Harrison and his online community of hunters say they are lurking in the great Australian outback.
