Tory MP Lucy Frazer sparks Twitter storm over her ‘Sharon Stone moment’ during PMQs

AN MP flashed more than she bargained for when she had a Sharon Stone-style moment in a short skirt at yesterday's PMQs.

Lucy Frazer, MP for South East Cambridgeshire, sent social media into a frenzy when she sat behind Prime Minister Theresa May and appeared to copy the seductive pose made famous in the 1990 film Basic Instinct.

She narrowly avoided being left red-faced as she swapped her crossed legs while May opened Prime Minister’s Questions by congratulating the UK’s Olympic team and adding her best wishes to the Paralympians in Rio.

The moment didn't go unnoticed by eagle-eyed Twitter users who were quick to liken the moment to the infamous Hollywood scene where Sharon Stone did the same while being interrogated.

Matt Brannigan wrote: "Lucy Frazer MP's audition for Basic Instinct 3."

Robert Adam said: "I say, there was a "Basic Instinct" moment from Lucy Frazer, seated behind PM during Theresa May's opening praise of Olympians?"

While Andrew added: "Lucy Frazer MP. She can sit behind the PM anytime she wants. #PMQs".

Ms Frazer, who later asked her leader a question in the House of Commons, went to adjust her skirt after reaching to place a folder on the floor.

But the short skirt rolled back a little further than she would have wanted - leaving little to the imagination.

The 44-year-old Tory MP is yet to comment on the reaction she caused in the House of Commons yesterday, which seemed to outshine May's first appearance at the dispatch box.

Many others also commented on May's bold choice of neckware for her first PMQs as Prime Minister.

She defended the Government’s housing policy and called Jeremy Corbyn a “laughing stock” over the #traingate row.

But the Prime Minister’s jewellery stole the show as she was pictured in a chunky chain as she left Downing Street ahead of the Commons clash with Jeremy Corbyn.
