Mum facing incest charges after marrying daughter… eight years after marrying her son
Patricia Spann, 43, married her 25-year-old daughter Misty six years after annulling her previous marriage to son Jody
A WOMAN in Oklahoma has been jailed after it emerged she married her daughter, and was previously married to one of her sons.
A police investigation revealed Patricia Ann Spann, 43, and her daughter Misty Velvet Dawn Spann, 25, married in Comache County in March this year.
Authorities later realised the mum had annulled her marriage to her son Jody six years previously – citing “incest” as the reason for divorce.
Patricia and Misty’s relationship was uncovered by the Department of Human Services during a child welfare investigation.

Under Oklahoma state law, the marriage of close relatives is considered incestuous whether or not they also have a sexual relationship.
Spann and her daughter have both been charged, and are currently being held at Stephens County Jail, with bail set at $10,000 (£7519).
According to officials, Patricia lost custody of her daughter and two sons when they were young.
Her three kids were raised by their paternal grandmother, with Patricia only reuniting with Misty in 2014.
The 43-year-old mum told child services investigators she thought it was okay to marry her daughter because her name wasn’t on her birth certificate.
The motivation behind both marriages remains unclear.
