They asked for £48,255 back in VAT and £148,225 in tax.

But Government number crunchers disputed the figures and refunded £18,763 in VAT and £78,083 in tax.

Recent documents filed to Companies House also revealed that the firm called Rolf Harris Enterprises Ltd –set up to handle income from his songs – also received just £13 in royalties in a six-month period.

A source said: “It is good to know that not too many ghouls are downloading his music for old times’ sake or because they want to support him because he is innocent.

“If he was receiving a fortune in royalties then that would give a worrying insight into human nature seeing as he is banged up for sex crimes against children.”

The fallen entertainer and artist is still worth millions thanks to a hugely successful TV and musical career spanning decades and income from paintings which used to sell for tens of thousands of pounds.

Harris’s back catalogue is available on iTunes with albums being sold for up £6.99.

One fan wrote: “This album has a lot of great songs. Great tributes to Rolf Harris.”

But another user pleaded: “Take this known paedophile off iTunes.”

He was jailed for five years in 2014 for molesting four girls between 1968 and 1986.

Prosecutors have now been handed a raft of fresh allegations against him and he is due for trial in January on eight further sex assault charges, which the 86-year-old denies.
