Playboy model who faces jail for mocking pensioner’s body at the gym pictured heading to meeting with her lawyers
The Playmate of the Year 2015 is set to face criminal charges and six months in jail after posting the body shaming photo
PLAYBOY model Dani Mathers has been spotted meeting up with her lawyers after it emerged she now faces criminal charges and six months in jail for body-shaming a pensioner getting changed at a gym.
The 29-year-old was condemned online after she posted a picture of an unsuspecting woman in a gym changing room with the caption “if I can’t unsee this then you can’t either” on Snapchat.
Earlier this week, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), who have now identified the victim in the photo - who is in her 70s - said they are recommending prosecution for dissemination of private images which carries a sentence of up to six months in jail.
Police have accused the Playmate of the Year 2015 of “egregiously violating a member’s right of privacy by taking a picture of her while naked in the shower, and then humiliating her by posting the picture with a disgusting caption”.
Since posting the picture Mathers has been banned from all LA Fitness gyms, stood down from her Playmate duties and indefinitely suspended from her job on a LA radio show.

“It was absolutely wrong and not what I meant to do.
“I chose to do what I do for a living because I love the female body and I know body shaming is wrong, that’s not what I’m about and this is not the type of person I am.”
She continued: “The photo was taken as part of a personal conversation with a girlfriend and because I am new to Snapchat I didn’t realise I had posted it, and that was a huge mistake.
“I know I have upset a lot of people out there but please believe me this is not the type of person that I am. I have never done this before and I will never do this again, you have my word.”
