Clifton Heights murder: ‘Cops find Nicholas Scurria dismembering his decapitated girlfriend’ after ‘fight turns deadly’
POLICE say that they found a man dismembering his decapitated girlfriend after a fight turned deadly.
Cops were called to an apartment building in Clifton Heights, , at around 4.15am on Friday morning.
When they arrived, they found 32-year-old Nicholas Scurria in the process of dismembering his girlfriend with a machete, police said.
Officials said that the victim had been decapitated and that there was rolled-up plastic next to her body.
Scurria was held at gunpoint and taken into custody and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said that Scurria told them that he and his partner had an argument and that he knocked her unconscious after repeatedly striking her in the face and head.
He also admitted to trying to get rid of her body by partially dismembering it, cops say.

Scurria told cops that he was in a relationship with the victim, but that he considered it to be over.
The Delaware County District Attorney's Office is continuing to investigate and charges are pending.
