BEGGARS BELIEF

‘Disabled limping migrant’ who uses a crutch while begging in London is exposed as a FRAUD when he is seen strolling off to buy a takeway

A LIMPING beggar has been caught red-handed after he used a crutch to stagger down the middle of the road asking for money - only to be spotted casually strolling through a restaurant minutes later.

The man, thought to be a Bulgarian immigrant, was seen shuffling down a road in Central London begging drivers for change.

The man was allegedly seen handing over his crutch to a "colleague" once he had finished begging,

He then goes to buy himself some fast food and a soft drink.

His crutch can still be seen around his arm while he is in the restaurant, but he appears to be walking a lot more easily and steadily than he was while was asking for money.

In one shot he had 15 pound coins in his hand which he had collected in 15 minutes work, according to the MailOnline.

The man is said to be one of a group of beggars who operate in London's upmarket Marylebone and Edgware Road areas.

An onlooker said: "It was pretty shocking seeing the guy hand over his crutches.

"They seem well organised."

Westminster City Council said it was working with the police and the Home Office to tackle "a small number of foreign nationals who come to London for short-term financial gain and choose to sleep rough".
