Man fighting for his life after staggering into branch of Frankie and Benny’s on FIRE as horrified diners looked on

A YOUNG man has been airlifted to hospital after bursting into Frankie and Benny's on FIRE.
The 26-year-old suffered severe burns from the waist down during the incident in front of horrified diners.
Eye-witnesses said the man grabbed a fire extinguisher while a customer rushed to help him.
Pictures from the scene show smashed glass on tables and ripped clothes strewn across the floor.
Emergency crews were called to Sandbrook Park in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, at 11.15am today.
Paramedics discovered a man with severe burns from the waist down.

Frankie and Benny's has been cordoned off while police investigate.
One eye-witness tweeted: “Major incident at Sandbrook Park. A man has been put in the air ambulance and has now gone. Hope ppl are ok!”
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to Frankie and Benny’s at 11.19am.
"A number of fire engines and officers were mobilised to the scene.
"The fire was out by the time officers arrived.

"Officers gave first aid to the man at the scene and he was taken to hospital by air ambulance."
A Frankie and Benny's spokesman said: "We can confirm that an incident occurred outside of our premises involving an external member of the public who was not a guest at the restaurant.
"Our team reacted quickly and involved the emergency services.
"This is now a police matter and would therefore be inappropriate to comment further.”
