THE Russian invasion of Ukraine forced many citizens to seek refuge far from their country and left them in need of daily necessities and shelter.
Several donation spots have been set up across the UK to help the Ukrainian refugees and here is where you can contribute.
Where can I donate clothes to Ukraine?
Some charities are taking monetary donations while others are happy to take clothes and other items for Ukraine.
Many of the donations are going to Poland, as the Polish government has said that over 100,000 refugees have crossed into the country.
Check in your local area to see if any donation centres have opened up as there are smaller sites opening daily in churches and community centres.

The queues outside Balham's White Eagle Club stretched down the street when they announced they would take donations.

Polish organisations like the White Eagle Club are asking for Londoners to bring warm clothes as conditions are cold.
They have also asked for baby supplies such as nappies and bottles as well as sleeping bags and blankets.
You can donate to the White Eagle Club at 211 Balham High Road, London SW17 7BQ from 5pm-8pm on Tuesday-Thursday and from 10am-5pm on Friday and Sunday.

Vilnius Polish Centre, Bury, Manchester
This centre is looking to support fleeing Ukrainian refugees.
It is calling for clothes, shoes, toiletries, blackets, sleeping bags, bandages, nappies and baby wipes, sanitary products, crayons and colouring books.
The centre is also taking in any people who would like to volunteer to package items.
They can be found at the Polish Social Centre, Back East Street, Bury, BL9 0RU.
The Bearded Broz, West Midlands
This is a community group that helped deliver food parcels to people during the pandemic and also Grenfell Tower survivors in 2017.
The Bearded Broz told The Sun: "It's very important for all humans to pull together at the time of need, our fellow humans need us regardless of their nationality, colour or religion."
They have asked for clothing, especially outerwear such as jackets and boots to be donated.
The centre, at Unit 8 Ashcourt, Crystal Drive, Smethwick, B66 1QG, is open Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm.
Community Clothes Swap, York
York's Acomb Parish Hall is accepting donations on Saturday, March 5, 2022.
They have asked people to bring clothes, shoes, toiletries and baby equipment for the Ukrainian refugees.
If possible they have requested this is sorted in to black bin bags with labels on to make things easier to organise as they are all volunteers.

Foodstock, West Belfast
This donation centre is also asking mainly for winter clothes, toiletries and baby equipment.
They have also asked for first aid supplies and non-perishable food items.
The next donatios truck leaves on Friday, March 4, 2022, for Poland.

TippyToes BabyBank, Lancashire
This charity in taking donations until Saturday, March 5, 2022.
They are particularly focused on blankets, baby equipment, sanitary wear and warm clothing.

Westbury, Wiltshire
A donation point at Daykin Estates, Unit 4 Rockhaven Business Park, Commerce Close, Westbury BA13 3FZ has been set up for those who live in Wiltshire.
They are taking in clothes, blankets, sleeping bags, toys, pet food, and long-lasting foods such as pasta and rice.
They will be sending all donated items to a hostel in Zgierz and to a volunteer centre in Lodz.

The team at the Head to Toe Nail Salon are taking in clothes donations and also thermal blankets, sleeping bags, pillows, toys, toothpaste and toothbrushes, soap, hairbrushed, sanitary pads and antiseptics.

These donations will be sen to Medyka which is the Polish-Ukrainian border.
