A DRIVING instruction company allows LEARNERS to take to the roads behind the wheel of £100,000 - for the most exclusive driving lessons in the country.
The BMW i8 is a far cry from your usual learner car but Bill Plant London is trusting the city's wealthiest teens behind its wheel for £198 a lesson.
Chaise Newman, 19, swapped lessons in her Nissan Micra for two hours in the i8 just days before her driving test.
Chaise, from Sutton Coldfield, West Mids, said: "When I saw the car I was like 'oh my God, I'm actually going to drive that!'
"Getting in was obviously the first difference and then there was so much information to take in, I thought I'm not going to be able to drive this.
"I'm used to driving a manual and it was an automatic. But eventually I got the hang of just pressing stop and start so it was actually easier than my own car."
Driving instructor for Bill Plant, 46-year-old Paul Ryan, said the typical learner just wants a refresher - but for some the 0-60 in 4.4 seconds vehicle is the first they have ever driven.

He said: "We'll take learners of any shape or form and if they haven't driven before we'll just take them down quiet roads.
"Learners are very overwhelmed by the occasion but it's actually quite easy to drive in comfort mode.
"Of course crashing is always a concern, we're lucky the i8 should do very well in a collision though because it's made of carbon fibre."
Chaise may have been driving in Birmingham since February, but nothing could have prepared her for the attention that comes with a Bill Plant lesson in the capital.
Chaise said: "You get so many looks driving in central London past builders and tourists in this expensive car.
"At one point the instructor took a quick break and I was just texting while waiting in the car and when I looked up tourists were taking photos of me!
"At first I didn't know what to do but I thought it was funny so I started posing for them."
As you would expect, parking and manoeuvres in the supercar threw up different challenges to that of Chaise's Nissan Micra N-tec.
She said: "It's a lot wider so i had to take into account things like that but there are actually less things to consider.
"You need the camera and screen to reverse as the view on the back window is very restricted so you end up looking at the screen more than behind.
"I think it's better for safety as a learner though as there's only so much you can see looking out of a window."
After giving Leicester City players lessons in their Premier League winning BMWs, Paul was blown away by 20-year-old Demarai Gray.
Paul, from Islington, said: "Gray from Leicester City was a very good driver, he had a sparkling report.
"His respect for the road was the best of any I've seen and If he wasn't a footballer I think he could be an F1 driver- he's that good."
