Motorist who led cops on dangerous car chase only had LEGOLAND driving licence when finally pulled over
A MOTORIST who led police on a frightening 35-mile chase was found with a LEGOLAND driving licence as ID.
Police had tried to stop the car on the outskirts of London - before officers chased him down for half an hour.
The driver only stopped when he incredibly ran out of petrol.
And when officers searched his car - the only form of identification they found was the theme park toy driving licence for kids.
The fictional photo IDs are given to children when they pass the imitation driving test at the popular theme park in Windsor, Berks.
It sees kids, with a height limit of 1.1m, cruise around Lego City in a brick-built electric car after watching a rigorous safety video.
Cops tried to stop the grey Audi A1 on the A2 in Bexley, South East London, but he fled down the busy dual carriageway towards Kent.
Officers from Kent Police then continued following him as he made his way down the M2 motorway and onto the Isle of Sheppey with a force helicopter monitoring the car reaching an average speed of 70mph.

Cops discovered the LEGOLAND licence when searching the car along with a quantity of cannabis.
The force posted a picture of the toy ID - which showed its owner had apparently passed the Lego learner scheme in 2003 when aged around two.
They tweeted: "No, the LEGOLAND licence was not the reason for the drivers dangerous driving, the large amount of cannabis was.
