JOURNALISTS UNDER ATTACK IN UKRAINE

This hospitalization occurred in the wake of American journalist Brent Renaud's death, who was killed in Ukraine over the weekend.

Filmmaker Renaud, 51, was reportedly shot dead while fleeing from Russian soldiers who opened fire at him just outside Ukraine.

Renaud previously contributed to the New York Times, though he was not on assignment with the Times, according to the newspaper's deputy managing editor.

Renaud's colleague, Juan Arredondo, was with the filmmaker when it happened and was wounded in his lower back.

These attacks come as Kremlin blocked websites such as the BBC, Facebook and Twitter in an attempt to increase censorship within Russia.
