The 52-year-old was enjoying a coffee on holiday in Sandwich Bay with mum Sheila Crowley, 82, and sister Sarah Davies, 50, when she looked up to see the angel form in the sky.

Ruth, an occupational therapist, from London, says that the beautiful image ‘remained in the formation for around five minutes’ before it disappeared.

She said: “Yesterday we were walking along the Sandwich Bay when all of a sudden I looked up and saw the Angel of the North.”

“While the world goes through these dark times, it was just something positive. We were so lucky to spot it.”
