The GoPro Karma drone and Hero 5 camera are here – UK prices, specifications and where to buy

GOPRO has launched its long-awaited Karma drone and Hero 5 camera range.
The US tech company unveiled its new products at a highly publicised launch in California, streamed live online by many gadget enthusiasts.
GoPro’s founder and CEO, Nicholas Woodman said: “With these new products, we’re delivering on our promise to make it easy to capture and share engaging stories.”
The details of the spec, prices and even the appearance of the new products were a closely guarded secret ahead of the launch.
There were plenty of rumours ahead of last night’s grand unveiling but we can now reveal all the details.
Here’s everything you need to know about GoPro’s new Karma drone and Hero 5 camera…
Karma drone
Price: £719.99 (without a camera) / £999.99 (with Hero 5 Black camera)
Spec: Compact and foldable, the entire system fits into the included backpack.
A game-style controller features an integrated touch display, meaning there’s no need for a separate phone or tablet to see what your drone sees.
And the 3-axis camera stabiliser can be removed from the drone and attached to the included Karma Grip for capturing handheld and gear-mounted footage.

Hero 5
Price: £349.99 (Hero 5 Black) / £249.99 (Hero 5 Session)
Spec: Described by the company as “the best GoPro ever”, the Hero 5 can take 12MP (Hero 5 Black) or 10MP (Hero 5 Session) photos and record video at resolutions of up to 4K at 30 frames per second.
Waterproof to 10metres and with voice control, both models are compatible with existing GoPro mounts, including the Karma drone.
The Hero 5 Black comes with GPS, RAW and WDR Photo Modes.
