UK weather – Brits hit by yellow weather warning for ice before -2C bone chiller grips
BRITS have been hit with a yellow weather warning for ice before temperatures plunge to a chilly -2C.
It follows a chilly start of April as the UK is bracing for more freezing weather after parts of the country were covered in snow.

Temperatures across the UK dropped near 0C, with the lowest being recorded in Tulloch Bridge, Scotland, where the mercury hit -8C.
And the temperature is set to plummet even more throughout the weekend amid the springtime polar plunge.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for ice for Saturday with "snow and hail showers" leading to possible travel disruption.
The warning, which stretches along the east of the country between the Scottish Borders and Lincolnshire, is in place between midnight and 10am.

The forecaster warned Brits to expect some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces and some icy patches on the road before urging them to clear their path or driveways.
The Met Office said the weather will be cloudy with showers on Saturday, particularly in the west.
The day will be "cold and frosty" but is expected to improve later in the day.
Temperatures across the country are set to drop with the mercury hitting lows of -2C in Wales.

Met Office forecaster Matthew Box told The Sun Online: "We’ve got a cold air mass across the UK from the north.
"Behind it are showers and they’re bringing a mix of rain sleet and snow mainly to the east of the UK.
"This morning in particular we’ve got temperatures at or below zero in many places."
Meanwhile, Sunday is expected to be rainy, especially in the north, according to the Met Office.
The day will see "more persistent rain" extending to all of Scotland and Northern Ireland while the weather will be milder on Monday.
Met Office meteorologist Dan Stroud told the wintry weather will continue over the weekend but temperatures are set to rise on Monday as the Arctic air system moves away.
He said: "It's generally dry and cold, if not slightly less cold than we have had for the next few days.
"We've got an Arctic air flow established at the moment, that's coming from a cold source.

"There's also a lot of clear and sunny skies, especially to the western parts of the UK."
