THERE were chaotic scenes on the streets of Birmingham and Bristol last night as students hit the city centre to mark the beginning of Freshers' Week.

Scores of boozed-up revellers headed out on the town for the traditionally rowdy celebrations.

But fun soon turned to mayhem, with hedonistic youngsters vomiting in the streets and being carted to hospital.
