A FORMER UKIP candidate racially abused a Tesco worker and labelled him a “f***ing foreigner” during a carpark row, a court heard.

Sam Naz, 33, racially abused Mohammed Watfa, 48, two months before she finished fifth in her bid to oust Zac Goldsmith and become MP for Richmond Park and North Kensington, it was said.

Trolley collector Mr Watfa had spotted Naz arguing with a man and came over to see if she needed any help, Snaresbrook Crown Court heard.

When the man left Naz blamed Mr Watfa for allowing him to get away, it is claimed.

In an expletive-laden rant she called Mr Watfa a “f***ing b***ard” and a “f***ing foreigner”, it is claimed.

She is also said to have yelled: 'What kind of a f***ing man are you?'”

Naz had been out shopping with her mother at the Leytonstone supermarket, when she got into a heated argument with a stranger in the car park, jurors were told.

Mr Watfa told the court he noticed the mystery man “holding a fist” and heard Naz screaming: “Call the police.

“Somebody arrest this man.

“This man punched my face.”

He told jurors Naz was “repeating this over and over” as her attacker got back into his car.

“Ms Naz moved again towards the car to stop him from driving off,” he continued.

“She was trying to go through but I was still standing between her and the car.”

The court heard the driver briefly stepped to berate Naz a second time before starting the engine and pulling away at speed, dragging Naz up to four meters with him.

“When she turned around the first words she said was that I let him go and drive off,” Mr Watfa explained.

“I said to her I didn't let the guy drive off and she said 'you should have arrested him'.

“I said I could not arrest him because I am not a policeman and I am not security.

“At that point she said what kind of man am I?

"'What kind of security are you?' And I kept telling her I am not security.”

Mr Watfa described the verbal abuse quickly escalating into a foul-mouth barrage culminating in her screaming: “What kind of f***ing foreigner are you?”

He told jurors he replied that “I am a foreigner just like you” only to be taunted by Naz that she was “born here”.

The trolley-pusher added that the tirade mad him feel “very, very bad”.

"I said 'You are too pretty to say these words',” he said

“I said 'maybe you deserve a punch because you have a very rude mouth'.

“She was angry at me more than the man who tried to punch her face.”

Mr Watfa described walking away back to his trolleys before heading into the store followed by Naz who was still using the “same f-words” volleyed at him “up to 50 times”.

“At that point I lost my temper,” he conceded.

“I was coming towards her now when I met with her mum again and her mum used the words “you ba**ard”.”

The court heard he was then led away by his manager.

“When I went for my interview [at the police station] they asked me how I would like this case to go,” Mr Watfa told the jury.

“I said if Ms Naz can say sorry to me that is it.

“Seeing Ms Naz I see my sister and I come from a large family with sisters.”

Naz, from Twickenham, London, denies a single count of racially aggravated intentional harassment.

Her trial continues.
