As Storm Angus hits the UK – what are your favourite Met Office storm names for 2016?
The first named storm of the 2016 season is striking the UK this weekend, after heavy snow lashed homes in the North-West and Devon.
Storm Angus's arrival has prompted a Met Office "be prepared" warning, following an outbreak of thundersnow - turbulent storms that cause snowfall instead of rain.
The Met released the list of names for storms in the UK over the coming year back in September.
A total of 21 were chosen – whittled down from a total of more than 10,000 suggestions submitted by the public.
One name was picked for each letter of the alphabet, with the exception of Q, U, X, Y and Z – in line with the naming conventions for hurricanes in the US.
Until next October, every major storm will be named according to the list, which is ordered alphabetically.
So Angus will be followed by Barbara, then Conor and so on.

Whether a storm is considered big enough to have its own name comes down to the probable impact of a storm.
Grahame Madge from the Met Office said: “A storm will be named when it has the potential to cause an amber ‘be prepared’ or red ‘take action’ warning.”
After the list was announced, people took to Twitter to say what they thought of the choices.
Some said they like the shortlist, some hated it…and others just seemed to find it funny.
KMFM Radio tweeted: “Have husbands just submitted their mother in laws for storm names?!”
And Josh Barrie wrote: “Some good storm names listed for next year. Big up Susan; stay windy, Doris.”
But what do YOU think of this year’s list?
