Colonial High School, Orlando, lockdown lifted after reports of ‘person with weapon’ on campus
A HIGH school was placed on a temporary lockdown after deputies received reports of an individual with a possible weapon on campus on Friday.
Law enforcement officials rushed to secure Colonial High School in Orlando during the afternoon.
During the lockdown, no one was allowed on or off of the campus while the police investigated the report.
Deputies from the Orange County Sheriff's Office were on the campus searching for the person with a possible weapon; however, nothing turned up.
The lockdown was lifted just before 2pm after police gave the campus the all-clear.
Images from the scene showed at least 11 cop cars swarming the campus.

The school notified parents of the lockdown, saying they received an anonymous tip of an individual with a possible weapon on campus.
"The safety of our students and staff is always my top priority,” the statement concluded.
