Air hostess arrested at Glasgow airport for being ‘too DRUNK to fly’ on Thomson flight to Ibiza

AN AIR HOSTESS has been arrested on suspicion of being 'too drunk to fly' while working at Glasgow Airport.

Jacqueline Madden, 50, was arrested on suspicion of being above the alcohol limit to work as an air hostess at the airport on Monday night.

Her arrest delayed a Thomson Airways flight to Ibiza for two hours.

The flight was due to leave at 8pm but didn't take off until 10pm.

Madden was detained in police custody on Monday night and released yesterday.

She was due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Tuesday but the hearing has been moved to a later date, has reported.

Thomson Airways confirmed Madden of Houston, Renfrewshire, has been suspended.

A spokeswoman said: "We will conduct our own investigation to ensure appropriate action is taken.

"The safety of our customers and crew is always our first priority."

A source told the: "She was spoken to by police and breathalysed in the terminal before being arrested."
