What supermarket told horrified shopper who bit into a peach to find it full of MAGGOTS
Customer said sight of creepy crawlie made him 'violently sick'
A MAN who bit into a peach to discover MAGGOTS was told by supermarket staff it was "nature".
Adrian Martin said he became ill after seeing the bugs crawl out of the fruit, purchased from his local Asda on September 17.
Mr Martin told : "I ate one and found maggots inside. It made me violently sick, it was disgusting."
The fruit was bought from Asda superstore in Rawtenstall, Lancashire.
Mr Martin added: "I went to complain [to] customer services.
"They said that they do not take responsibility for it and that it is 'nature'. I was made to feel like I had nothing to complain about at all."

The upset shopper, who described the customer service as "very, very poor", said he was offered a £5 voucher as a gesture of goodwill, but declined.
An Asda spokesman has said it is in contact with Mr Martin while the matter is investigated.
The spokesman said: “We work hard to make sure that our products are of the very best quality and would like to reassure all our customers that these types of incidents are extremely rare."
The spokesman continued: “Vigorous checks are made on all of our fresh produce. However, from time to time an uninvited guest might tag along for the ride.
“We are very sorry for any upset this matter has caused and have offered Mr Martin a gesture of goodwill as an apology for his experience while we investigate the matter further with our suppliers.”
