IT'S no secret Vladimir Putin has a terrifying arsenal of superweapons hanging over the world's head.
He has again stoked fear he will wield his stockpile after showing off his deadly artillery to give his rivals "food for thought".
Despite using "outdated" tactics on the ground, money is no object for Russia's weaponry - seeing them taunt Ukraine with their unbeatable equipment.
The capabilities almost seem inconceivable, yet Putin has assured the globe his arsenal promises to cause mass destruction.
But unleashing such weapons would come with a huge amount of risk for the bloodthirsty tyrant.
He knows Nato forces have an equally deadly stockpile, but the Russian President may now be unbothered by the warning of "mutually assured destruction".
The former KGB spymaster suggested in 2018 he would be willing to see his homeland destroyed in a nuclear conflict.
Now the decision of the increasingly unpredictable Russian leader to place the world’s biggest atomic arsenal on standby is being taken very seriously indeed.
RS-28 Satan II
Just yesterday, the Russian President claimed to have successfully launched its "RS-28 Satan 2" missile, which can fire up to 12 nuclear warheads at once.
The enormous 115-foot nuclear warhead can fly 11,000 miles, carry 15 missiles and has the potential to destroy an area the size of France.
During its reportedly triumphant test fire, it travelled almost the entire length of Russia - almost 3,600 miles - in around 15 minutes.
The separate warheads in the Satan missile are capable of detaching from the main 100-tonne missile before travelling towards their target at hypersonic speeds.
Russia's defence ministry bragged that the Sarmat ICBM is able to overcome any missile defence systems.
Putin hoped it would make those "who, in the heat of frenzied aggressive rhetoric, are trying to threaten our country," think twice.
And even more concerningly, Dmitry Rogozin, the director of the Russian space agency Roscosmos, claimed that the weapon was a "present to NATO and all sponsors of Ukronazism".
SSC-X-9 Skyfall
Further beefing up Russia's stash of superweapons is the SC-X-9 Skyfall, a nuclear-armed cruise missile that has an "unlimited" range.
It can be launched from land or sea and is able to stay aloft for DAYS - making even long-distance attacks lightwork.
Putin claims the nuke, unveiled in 2018, has the ability to evade any air defence systems - meaning no enemy is off limits.
Skyfall is also thought to be more difficult to detect as it is able to fly at low altitudes throughout its journey.
The world's first nuclear-powered cruise missile was initially designed with the purpose of finding holes in enemy countries defence systems.
The state-of-the-art weapons system can also target prime military sites other weapons can't reach.
Poseidon
Arguably Vlad's most frightening superweapon capable of causing catastrophe is the nuclear-armed submarine drone, Poseidon.
Lending its name from the Greek God of the sea for good reason, this unmanned aquatic monster can cause tidal waves and "radioactive tsunamis".
The nuclear weapon can be dropped onto the seabed by the submarine and travel through shore defences until it reaches the desired location.
It moves through the sea at 125mph using a top secret propulsion system and is said to be lethal against aircraft carriers.
Then, its nuclear warhead is designed to explode, sending a tsunami of toxic waves spewing onto the targeted coastline.
According to Russia, the Poseidon can carry either conventional or nuclear warheads, which enables them to engage various targets.
This includes aircraft carrier groups, coastal fortifications and infrastructure - making it poised to "inaugurate an ominous new era of autonomous undersea warfare".
Supra-light
In keeping with the advanced systems favoured by Russia, the Supra-light laser cannon is one of the most adaptable weapons in the country's cache.
Also known as the Peresvet, its primary focus is said to be performing the same tasks as air defenses and missiles.
The complex cannon can blast satellites, planes, drones and missiles, seeing the US categorise it as a "disturbing" threat.
It functions in a similar way to systems in other countries that work by neutralising the electronics on missiles and planes from miles away.
Despite its long list of prey to defeat, most details about the deadly laser cannon remain a secret - leaving the West second-guessing its potential.
It's said to work perfectly in good weather but bad weather could affect the passage of the crucial laser.
Yu-74 Avangard
Among the crazed Kremlin leader's hoard is the Yu-74 Avangard missile system, which was honed to perfection over several years.
With the ability to reach speeds of up to 21,000mph, the hypersonic warhead glider is so quick it leaves targets with no time to react.
Combining components from old and new Russian artillery, the evil masterminds have created a weapon that can combat missile defences.
Evil Putin earlier gloated that it is able to hit its marks "like a meteorite, like a fireball," while travelling up to 20 times the speed of sound.
The Avangard's capacity to navigate and manoeuvre through the atmosphere is what sets it apart from other deadly weapons.
It can successfully evade interception due to its fluidity, delivering both nuclear and conventional payloads - reducing cities to rubble in seconds.
Kh-47M2 Dagger
Russia's Kh-47M2 Dagger is another of Putin's sub-strategic weapons in his collection of menacing arms.
The hypersonic air-launched nuclear missile is fired from warplanes and boasts a range of around 2,000 km from the point of release,
Both nuclear and conventional warheads can be attached, making it an impressive tool to disrupt multi-domain operations by the enemy.
Moscow previously dubbed the missile the "ideal weapon" and "invulnerable" to air defence systems.
Prior to the warheads's release, its carrying aircraft accelerates to its maximum possible speed.

Upon its discharge, it fires up its solid-propellant-driven engine and roars through the sky at up to 12 times the speed of sound.
The unrelenting speed of the Dagger makes it a prime selection when destroying heavily shielded targets.
