Footage shows a group of officers stopping the white van after he drove in the wrong direction up a one way street, reported.

Jose Marco Rodriguez Cabello was questioned over the incident because his wayward driving left a bus unable to turn.

While one of the officers is speaking to him through the open driver's door, he suddenly lurches forward.

The officer is sent flying to the ground, grazing her hands and cutting open her head in the process.

Fortunately, the driver was arrested a few blocks away, while the officer was put in a neck brace and taken to hospital.
