We were warned a terrible danger was looming for us by a palm reader – then just months later they were proved right
A COUPLE were left spooked after a palm reader warned them about a terrible danger that was going to happen - and just months later it came true.
Charlotte McCarthy and Jak Metcalfe decided to chance their luck with a £5 reading in Blackpool in September 2018 while visiting family.
But just over two months later, a harrowing prediction that the palm reader made actually came true.
The woman warned that the pair, from Baxenden in Lancs, would be in a car accident and that Jak would be "well looked after" by the hospital.
Believing that she must have meant "a little bump" considering Jak had just passed his test, the couple didn't think much of the wild prediction.
But on November 29 that year, the couple found themselves with serious injuries after a horror car crash which saw them both in hospital.

Charlotte and Jak were driving back from her graduation when a truck smashed into them in Haslingden, leaving them with life-changing injuries.
Emergency services had to cut the pair out of the car - and Jak was given a 50/50 chance of survival following the smash.
Charlotte suffered severe abdominal injuries and was told that if she had 1mm more damage to an artery, it would have ended her life.
The couple spent Christmas in a major trauma unit - and were spooked when they remembered the woman's prediction.

Aside from correctly predicting the devastating car crash, the palm reader also said that they had both met their soul mates and would go on to have a son and daughter.
And in 2021, Charlotte and Jak welcomed their first baby into the world - little Cara.
Speaking about the bizarre prediction and the crash, Charlotte told "It didn't really click with me until afterwards when I was in hospital recovering from the crash that I remembered it.
"It's surreal really. We were in Blackpool visiting Jak's nan and we thought we'll go and get our palm read and see what she has to say.
"We'd done it before and she charged us £5 per reading, we didn't want to pay anymore than that because we were suspicious.
"She said a few things. She asked if I recently lost somebody and my grandad had died the year before, but again I thought, is that generic? yeah."
Charlotte continued: "She went on to say to my partner is going to have this car accident.

"He'd just passed his driving test so we thought she might mean a little bump - people do have bumps when they've just passed their test.
"But then she made another profound comment. She said something like, your partner will be in it with you as well but the hospital will look after your partner.
"Afterwards, we didn't think anything of it until November 29 2018 when we had this huge accident."
After the ordeal, the pair revisited the palm reader - who was "shocked" to hear that her prediction had come true.
And Charlotte also remembered another reading that had come to life - the birth of her beloved daughter.

She added: "She went on to say we've both met our soul mate, we'd have a little girl and a boy - we've just had a girl actually, so we're waiting for a boy."
While admitting that the initial correct reading panicked her, Charlotte said that she believes the palm reader could really see how their lives were mapped out.
Charlotte added: "It made me trust in what she said.
"Obviously, some people have their reservations and I think the price is reasonable if it's accurate.
"It panicked me more than my partner, and she did say it to him, we just played it down and thought it would be a little bump but then it was such a life-changing incident.
"It was really as if she could see how our life was going to be mapped out.
