The father and son had been attacked outside their home in Chadwell Heath, in east London, last week.

It has been alleged that the Haydens confronted a group of men wearing hoodies and calaclavas who were trying to steal a moped outside the home on September 13.

The family of the 27-year-old has since paid tribute to the young men, even sharing a photo of their last goodbye as he lay in his hospital bed after the attack.

Ricky's mother Suzan Hedges had previously urged people to come forward if they knew anything to help catch her son's killers.

She said: "I would like to thank the community for all the help and support they have provided so far.

"If anyone knows anything then please contact police."
