Family ‘broken’ as Katie Kenyon, 33, vanishes after ‘getting into transit van with man’ – as 50-year-old arrested

A FAMILY has told how they are broken after their sister vanished when she got into a transit van.
Katie Kenyon, 33, has not been seen since she got into a silver Ford Transit van on Friday, as cops have arrested a man, 50, on suspicion of kidnap.
Her sister Sarah said: "It is now a waiting game, we have done everything we can, searched everywhere, contacted everyone.
"This is breaking us all and we are all so greatly appreciated for everyone’s help!"
Her other sister Jenny previously said: "Someone must have seen my sister. It's very unusual and out of character for Katie is this!
"Nothing adds up and we are all concerned for her and her whereabouts."
Her family are “extremely concerned” about her welfare after she left her home in Burnley, Lancashire at around 9.30am.
A woman matching her description left Todmorden Road with a man and travelled in the van, registration MT57 FLC, to the Bolton by Bowland area.
Officers have confirmed that her disappearance is “extremely out of character” for her and are asking for anyone with information to come forwards.
Lancashire Police are appealing for anyone who has seen Katie - either on her own or with someone else - or has dash cam footage of the van to get in contact.
Katie is described as white, 33, five foot nine inches, with shoulder-length blond hair.
She was last seen wearing a blue cardigan, light blue and white top, black leggings and flip flops.
A man aged 50 from Burnley has been arrested on suspicion of kidnap in connection with the investigation.
Detectives confirmed that he remains in police custody and is helping cops with their enquiries.
Defective Chief Insp Al Davies, of the Force Major Investigation Team, said: “Katie’s disappearance is out of character and her family are understandably very worried.
“We are doing all we can to try and find her and I would appeal to anyone who has any information, however insignificant you may think it is, to come forward and contact us.
“I would especially like to hear from anyone who was in Bolton by Bowland or the surrounding area and saw anything suspicious to get in touch.
“Did you see a woman matching Katie’s description, either alone or with a man?
"Did you see the silver transit van or might you have dashcam footage which shows it.
“While we have arrested someone in connection with our investigation, I am very much keeping an open mind as to what has happened and I have a team of officers and staff working hard to try and find Katie and return her to her family.
“You could help with that so please do come forward and speak to us as your information could prove crucial."
A spokesman for Lancashire Police added: "Our enquiries so far suggest that at about 9.30am on Friday, April 22, a woman matching Katie's description left an address on Todmorden Road, Burnley with a man and travelled in a silver Ford Transit registration MT57 FLC to the Bolton by Bowland area.
"She has not been seen since and we are appealing to anyone who was in that area and may have seen Katie, either in company or on her own, or who saw or has dashcam footage of a van matching the description to come forward and contact us."
Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting log 800 of April 24th or contact them through the .
