DO YOU WANT FRIES WITH RAT?

Man left horrified after biting into crispy chicken – before realising it was actually a deep-fried RAT

The man realised that his meal had ears, a nose and a tail when eating lunch in Moscow's KFC

A MAN has been left gagging after biting into his chicken - before realising it was actually a deep fried rat.

The hungry customer Oleg Ponyatsky had ordered fried chicken to eat at one of Moscow's KFC fast-food restaurants when he realised his meal was not what he was expecting.

The man did not at first realise what he had been given, even biting into the deep-fried nugget a few times before thinking it tasted funny.

On closer inspection he realised his "chicken" had ears, a nose and even a tail.

Managing not to vomit, the man immediately took photos of the rat as evidence.

Contacting a local radio station website, he said he had kept the rat as evidence of the horrific lunch-gone-wrong.

He said: "I did not see the point of appealing to KFC superiors as they would simple take the rat away. I am registered as a physically handicapped person and I doubt I could have stopped them taking it from me if they wanted to."

He also denied that he was hoping to get compensation or rich from the upset, saying that he just wanted to make sure they were more careful in future so that it did not happen to anybody else.

The man has since lodged a complaint with the Russian food monitoring watchdog.

Russian KFC spokesperson Ilya Politkivskiy who works for Yum! Brands Russia, the company that operates KFC in Russia, rejected the allegation that there was a rat served up in one of their meals.

The spokesperson said: "It is impossible, even in theory. We had a similar case in one the restaurants abroad where this was suspected, and it was also proven to be incorrect.

"What can happen is that chicken changes shape while it's being fried, and may look suspicious but it is still chicken."
