Disgusted parents try to stop release of double killer who savagely beat their son to death

Murderer Darren Pilkington could be set free from jail aged 33 despite two manslaughter convictions

THE parents of a victim are trying to stop double killer Darren Pilkington paroled next month at 33.

Pilkington was 15 when he was locked up for beating to death 30-year-old Paul Akister.

When he was released he killed girlfriend Carly Fairhurst, 19, by pushing her down a flight of stairs in 2006.

He could be freed by a parole board on October 7 despite two manslaughter convictions.

Carly’s parents Trevor and Sheila said Pilkington, of Wigan, is a danger and should not be let back on the streets.

Sheila, 59, said: “We got the life sentence but our daughter’s killer has a chance of being free.

"Where is the justice?

“The fact he could hurt someone else needs to be considered.”
