Brit charged on suspicion of belonging to terror group ISIS
Mohammed Abdallah, 25, has also been charged with possession of a gun and receiving thousands for terrorism
A BRIT has been charged with belonging to terror group IS.
Mohammed Abdallah, 25, has also been accused of possessing an AK-47 type weapon, and receiving £2,000 for the purpose of terrorism.
Abdallah, of Moss Side, Manchester, was arrested at Heathrow after he flew in from Libya via Tunisia last Friday.
He is accused of travelling to Syria in 2014 to join the IS terror group.
Abdallah pleaded not guilty to the charges at Westminster Magistrates Court.
His lawyer Alastair Lyon said it was “clearly a complicated case”.
There was no application for bail and Abdallah was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on October 7.
