MADELEINE McCann suspect Christian B claims a woman he was having sex with at the time of the toddler's disappearance will provide him with an alibi.
The shocking claim comes amid reports he could be charged within months, in light of "extremely strong" new evidence in Maddie's case.
German cops previously said the convicted sex offender, 45, who was declared an “arguido” by Portuguese police, has not provided them with an alibi.
The rapist who has told a US documentary he was elsewhere when the tot was snatched in Algarve in 2007, has now claimed he was with having sex with a German woman in his camper van that night, reports.
He said the pair were even stopped and photographed at a police roadblock, as he drove her to the airport in Faro, the next day.
He also claimed the woman was arrested at airport security for carrying an illegal pepper spray and later appeared in court.

He reckons Portuguese police must have a record of the incident which will prove his relationship with the German woman, who was on holiday with her parents.
German cops reportedly found a photo of the woman lying in the suspect's van during the investigation into the rape of a US pensioner, in Portugal in 2005, for which Christian B is currently serving a seven-year jail sentence.
While at first he reportedly could not remember the woman's full name, it is understood he had been able to identify her.
If confirmed, the alibi would contradict evidence from mobile phone data that put him 200 yards from Kate and Gerry’s Ocean Club apartment on the day Madeleine was taken.

German prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters, told Sky News: "I assume if he has anything that exonerates him that sooner or later he will share it with us and we would then check it out. What happens then, let's see.
"So far he has told us nothing, he's given us no alibi. So, we can only work on the evidence we have found so far in our investigation.
"And there was nothing to exonerate him."
After two years of complete silence, Christina B has claimed he can prove where he was at the time Maddie got abducted.
The details will be revealed tomorrow, on the 15th anniversary of the young Brit's disappearance, in the documentary Madeleine McCann: Prime Suspect, by US network AMC Crime.
Despite investigators' suspicions of his links to the unsolved case, he has never been charged.
It has previously been claimed that the suspect has a “number of people” willing to provide an alibi.
Mr Wolters said: “We actually haven't found a single piece of the puzzle in the two years that would have somehow helped to exonerate Christian B.
"So it's really nothing that would somehow maybe be an alibi or something. Nothing of that has come to light, really at any point."

He added: “However, it is not foreseeable when we will come to an end. So I can't say that we will definitely conclude the investigations this year. That really also depends on how this develops.”
