Tesco customer finds long strip of sharp plastic inside half-eaten own-brand sausage roll
A WOMAN was left fuming after she munched down on a Tesco sausage roll and found a blue piece of plastic inside.
The unhappy customer took to Twitter to share a snap of the sharp looking plastic sticking out of the half-eaten treat.
She bought a Tesco own-brand sausage roll and was stunned when she found the rogue plastic inside.
In a tweet, she wrote: "@Tesco Just found this long strip of blue plastic in my Ultimate Sausage roll. Not impressed!"
The supermarket giant's customer service team apologised immediately for the customer's "shock".
A representative urged her to take the pastry back to the store she bought it from so they can "investigate".

The Tesco team member, called Sharon, responded: "Hi there, thank you for getting in touch.
"I am so sorry that this was in the sausage roll you bought from us! This must have been quite the shock.
"Due to the seriousness of this, I ask that you take the plastic, the products packaging and your receipt (if you still have it) into your local Extra or Superstore.
"My colleagues at the Customer Service Desk will take all the details needed and will send this off to our supplier to investigate further.

A Tesco spokesperson told The Sun: “We’re sorry to hear about this.
"We have very high standards for the food we put on our shelves and strict checks in place.
"If the customer returns the product to their local store, we can investigate further with our suppliers and we’ll of course be happy to offer a refund.”
It comes after a gobsmacked customer made a shocking discovery when she opened up her Tesco pasta bake.
Lauren Costello was left baffled when she decided to open a Chicken and Bacon Pasta Bake to cook and found a plastic weight instead of her meal.
