Woman booted off easyJet flight over disruptive behaviour after ‘hurling abuse’
easyJet forced to issue apology after unnamed woman's outburst severely delays plane bound for Liverpool
A WOMAN was reportedly kicked off a flight from Barcelona after “hurling abuse” at other passengers — including her mother.
The unnamed woman’s temper flared as passengers started boarding the easyJet flight at Spain’s El Prat airport on Friday morning.
In an interview with the Echo, witness Gary Wright described the turbulent scene: “The lady started swearing and her language was awful.
“She was up and down causing a nuisance to the cabin crew.
“Then she started hurling abusive language to her mum and others.
“The staff made the right decision to throw her off and we all totally agreed with the decision.”
An easyJet spokesman apologised to their customers for the delay: “easyJet can confirm that two passengers were offloaded from flight EZY7204 from Barcelona to Liverpool prior to departure from Barcelona as a result of disruptive behaviour.
“easyJet’s cabin crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and to act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers is not compromised at any time.
“Whilst such incidents are rare we take them very seriously and do not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour onboard.
“We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
