Massive explosions ripped through large rail tankers containing solvents at a factory in Dzerzhinsk.

The city, about 250 miles east of Moscow, has been dubbed the most polluted place in the world.

Plumes of billowing smoke followed massive explosions around 11am on Wednesday.

More than 150 emergency workers spent nine hours battling the blaze over 2,500 square metres.
