A TENANT'S street stinks after a neighbour left rotting food in their abandoned home.
Martine Davey said bin bags, unwashed plates, food waste and other mess remains in the property, which local cats crawl into through an open window.

She is hit with a horrid smell as soon as she wakes up in the morning as a result and her own cat brought back a rat on Monday.
Council housing officers have still not sorted the problem despite being told about it in January.
Martine, of Wadebridge, Cornwall, said: "I've had enough now.
“My sink is connected to theirs and theirs is full of crap so the smell drifts through.

"When I put my clothes in the wash it comes out smelling like smelly socks. I can’t open my windows and there are rats all the time.”
She constantly puts bleach down the drain and called the situation "disgusting", reports.
Martine first noticed the smell just after Christmas and she could not get rid of it.
Another neighbour said she saw the woman next door leave in a taxi in December and a police welfare check confirmed no one was at the property.

Martine added: "The officer assured me it was empty, but said he wasn’t surprised about the smell.
"He said the house was a ‘disgrace’ inside, with pots in the sink, dirty left out food everywhere.”
A Cornwall Housing spokesperson said: “Following the issue reported by Mrs Davey, we have been investigating the whereabouts of the [missing] tenant at Eglos Parc and will continue to make efforts to contact the tenant, check on their well-being and understand their situation better.
"The terms of the secure tenancy agreement does not permit Cornwall Housing to force entry and assume control of this home.

“However, we can confirm that we are treating this property as abandoned and served Notice to Quit.
"Officers from our Housing Management Team will continue to check on the property and resolve the waste issues as quickly as we can for the benefit of Mrs Davey and other neighbours.”
