Police launch desperate hunt for bomber after Budapest explosion leaves two cops seriously injured
Authorities believe the blast was a deliberate attack on Hungarian police

HUNGARIAN authorities have launched a desperate manhunt after an attack that saw two police seriously wounded on Saturday night.
Police believe the explosion in capital Budapest was a deliberate attempt to target the country's police.
They have not yet confirmed whether the bombing was carried out by Islamic extremists.
National police chief Karoly Papp said: "The target was not one of the injured police officers but the police force.
“I would like to make it clear that we will find the perpetrator.”
Forensic teams scoured the Oktagon district today following the attack near the capital's clubbing district.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has been a vocal opponent of immigration into Europe and has campaigned for a referendum about migrant resettlement quotas on the premise that immigration increases the terror threat in Europe.
In a campaign leaflet to reject the quotas, Orban cited the Paris attacks last autumn and the Brussels and Nice attacks to underscore the perceived links between immigration and terrorism.
Hungary has seen merely a trickle of migration since it sealed its southern border with Serbia with a razor wire fence last year.
