'TEAM KATE' GET BUSY

William and Kate’s Canada royal tour entourage – from the nanny to the hairdresser, a who’s who guide

KATE and William touched down in Canada over the weekend with a 12-strong entourage of stylists, aides and private secretaries.

The staff - branded Team Kate - arrived by private jet in Victoria on Saturday to ensure the Duchess looks impeccable on the week-long tour.

As well as organising their diary and taking care of security, the entourage are tasked with styling Kate and making sure George and Charlotte are on their best behaviour.

The royal couple last visited the North American country in 2011, just months after they tied the knot at Westminster Abbey - bringing a more modest team of seven along with them.

But they have expanded their team this year as they tackle a busy schedule packed with more than 30 engagements.

The entourage is made up of private secretaries, four press officers, one tour secretary, one operations manager, one PA and their nanny - plus a team of Scotland Yard security guards.

So who are the royal A-team joining Kate and William on their first tour as a family of four?

The Hairdresser

Amanda Cook Tucker has been styling Kate's hair since she toured Malaysia and Singapore in 2012.

She is responsible for the chic knotted up-do Kate wore for a Bollywood evening in Mumbai, and also perfects the Duchess' regular glossy blow dry.

Amanda is on hand every morning and throughout the day for touch ups.

The 53-year-old was at the Lindo Wing after the births of George of Charlotte and also trekked up a mountain in Bhutan to make sure Kate's hair was picture-perfect.

So far, Kate's hair has survived the wet and windy Canadian weather so Amanda has been doing her job properly.

The Nanny

Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo started work for the couple in 2014 when George was six months old and has been branded "amazing" by Kate.

The Spanish supernanny lives with the Duke and Duchess in Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall and has been spotted taking the young royals to the feed the geese in the gardens.

The 45-year-old is a vital member of Team Kate and was present at Princess Charlotte's christening and the Queen's birthday.

She is also used to taking care of the royals while William and Kate are on duty after she looked after George during a tour of Australia and New Zealand in 2014.

A Kensington Palace spokesperson said at the time of her employment that the pair were "delighted" to be joined by Maria, who trained at the prestigious Norland College which has been producing childminders for the rich and famous since 1892.

The PA and stylist

Former personal assistant Natasha Archer has been working with the royals for more than three years.

According to insiders, she was officially tasked with making Kate look more "regal" to meet with the Queen's request.

Natasha is rumoured to have picked out the now-iconic blue and white polka dot dress the Duchess wore when she stepped out at the Lindo wing after the birth of Prince George.

The stylist has been picking key pieces of jewellery and clothing for Kate while she tours Canada to ensure she always steps out in style.

Natasha, who recently got engaged to royal photographer Chris Jackson, went to Uppingham boarding school before reading Hispanic Studies at King's College London.

The Private Secretaries

William's right-hand man Miguel Head, 37, has been working alongside the couple from 2012 and knows them inside out.

He used to be the Palace’s head of communications and served as the liaison with Clarence House when Harry went to war in 2007.

Mig, as he is known to his friends, is believed to be the first senior royal aide to enter into a civil partnership with his long-term partner in 2011, the same year his boss wed Kate.

He is joined by Kate's Private Secretary Rebecca Deacon, who is tasked with organising the Duchess' hectic private and public diaries.

Rebecca studied English at Newcastle University and went to work for Prince Harry’s charity, Sentebale, before earning her stripes as a producer’s assistant working on the 2007 Concert for Diana.

She was promoted in 2012 to private secretary - the most senior role in Kate's household.

Rebecca is often seen by Kate's side laden with flowers and gifts for the royals.

The third addition to the team is Laura Baker, William’s Assistant Private Secretary who used to work with Prince Charles.

The Press Secretaries

Four press secretaries have joined the royals on their trip to deal with the huge amount of interest from both UK and Canadian media.
