SIX rowdy Rangers fans were kicked off a plane on their way to Seville as a flight was forced to divert.

Thousands of Ibrox diehards are jetting off to Seville for the Europa League Final against Eintracht Frankfurt tomorrow night.

But a number of "disruptive" passengers were booted off the plane heading from Manchester to Faro, Portugal - with one even being removed before departure.

Footage on social media shows cops storming the Ryanair flight as it sits on the tarmac after an onboard incident.

A Rangers supporter was then removed from the plane.

After being escorted off the flight, the distraught fan is then spotted pleading with an officer on the ground outside the aircraft.

A further image then appears to show the same fan in handcuffs while standing on the tarmac.

The flight from Manchester to Faro also had to be diverted mid-air.

It landed in Nantes, France at 7.44pm where a further five passengers were removed and led off in handcuffs by police waiting on the ground.

Further drama unfolded at 36,000 feet aboard the flight when a woman suffered a medical episode and needed to be given oxygen.

After treatment in Nantes the woman was allowed to return to the airplane and continue her journey to the Algarve.

While the medical emergency unfolded, a couple of the Rangers fans allegedly stole from the drinks trolley and abused flight attendants.

An announcement about smoking, or vaping, in the toilets was made over the speaker system as a couple of fans reportedly ignored directions to behave on the flight.

According to French authorities, the five fans who were ejected from the flight in Nantes were released after being held by officers for a short time. There was no formal custody period or charges.

The flight then continued to Faro and landed at 10.04pm.

One eye witness said: “It was absolutely appalling behaviour from the moment they started getting smashed in the airport ahead of the flight.

“Watching it unfold was completely embarrassing - the elderly woman needed oxygen during the flight.

“She was taken off the aircraft, but later a couple of the Rangers fans were removed she was allowed back on board.

“It was completely sickening to witness - people so drunk and stupid on a packed airplane at 35,000 feet.

“They just ignored everything they were told. The flight attendants did their best, but they would not listen at all.”

A spokesperson for Ryanair said: "A small number of disruptive passengers were removed from this Manchester to Faro flight (16 May).

"One passenger was removed prior to departure, and following a diversion to Nantes, a further 5 disruptive passengers were removed and met by police on arrival.

"Separately, another passenger who required medical attention onboard quickly recovered, did not require further medical attention, and continued to Faro.

"Following a short delay of approx. 1hr15mins in Nantes, this flight continued to Faro where it landed safely at 22:04.

"Ryanair apologies sincerely to passengers for the inconvenience caused by this delay."

Earlier on, we told how club legend Graeme Souness has fired a warning to those travelling as he urged supporters to be on their best behaviour.

The former Ibrox player and boss was delighted as he congratulated Van Bronckhorst's men on their European journey so far.

However with concern for the club's reputation, he begged Gers fans to act as 'ambassadors' in and around the match.

He said: “They’ve done their bit – now it’s your turn.

“You have to turn up there, behave yourselves, have a party – but make sure you behave yourselves.
