Second woman stabbed to death in 48 hours in London as capital rocked by knife horror
TWO women have been knifed to death in London during 48 hours of horror.
A 34-year-old was found dead at a home in Canning Town, east of the capital, at 6.25am today.
Cops and paramedics dashed to a property in Burrard Road following reports of an assault.
Despite their efforts, the victim died at the scene.
A 33-year-old man, who police say is known to the victim, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
Officers are working to identify the woman and inform her next of kin.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Rogers of the Met Police said: “This is a tragic incident which understandably will cause shock to the local community.
"I want to reassure them that my team of skilled homicide detectives are already working diligently to piece together the events that led to this murder.
“We have arrested a man who remains in police custody and at this time we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”
Detective Superintendent Jimi Tele, who is responsible for public protection in the area, urged anyone with information to come forward.

“Local officers will be in and around the area to support their specialist homicide colleagues as this investigation progresses," he said.
"I would encourage any residents with concerns to approach them and speak to them or please get in contact with your local neighbourhood policing team.
“A young woman has lost her life in awful circumstances and I can understand the worry this will cause amongst residents in Newham – it is a worry that our officers share and drives us all on to ensure tackling violence against women remains a top priority for the Met.”
Shortly after midnight on Tuesday, Ania Jedrkowiak, 21, was found fatally injured in an alleyway off Church Gardens in South Ealing, West London.
She had suffered multiple knife wounds and died at the scene, cops say.
Dennis Akpomedaye, 29, has been charged with murder.
HORROR IN LONDON
The suspect, of Newport in South Wales, remains in custody. He was known to Ania.
He is due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court today.
Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, who is leading the investigation, called for anyone with information to come forward.
"We are always keen to hear from anyone else who has not yet spoken to us but who thinks they may have seen or heard anything, no matter how small, that could help," he said.

“In particular we would urge anyone who lives or was travelling in the area of South Ealing Road, between 11.15pm on Monday, May 16 and 1am the next day, or anyone who has CCTV or a doorbell camera, or a dash cam, to check it for anything that appears out of the ordinary."
