A REFUGEE who fled from his war-torn home in Africa has begged to be moved after complaining about "bad people" in the area.
The asylum-seeker, who escaped third world Etritrea, said he felt "violated" after his new home in Swansea was broken into, with all of his possessions, including a laptop, clothes and even chocolates, stolen from the flat.
His plight was revealed in court after his home in the Welsh city was raided by Phillipa Turner, 28.
In a victim statement, the refugee, who is in his 40s, said that he had moved to Britain "for a quiet life" with his homeland plagued by drought and conflict.
He was given a flat by council officials in Seansea, South Wales.
