San Bernardino mass shooting leaves one dead and eight injured after gunfire erupts at party

ONE person has died and eight others were left injured after a shooting at a party on Friday night in San Bernardino, California.

One fatality was pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials.

Witnesses to the Friday night incident claim minors were in attendance at the party.

A large crowd was gathered at the Highland Square shopping center when gunfire erupted, according to.

“We just heard gunshots and a lot of kids running,” a witness who did not want to be identified, told KTLA. “Most of the kids were under 18 years."

No arrest has yet been made and a motive for the shooting has not been revealed.

Another witness said that gunshots were heard at the Mobil gas station across the street from the shopping center.

Police haven't said if they are looking for a single shooter or multiple.

Authorities have not yet identified the victim but family members told KTLA that the victim was a 20-year-old man who attended the party.

The eight victims that were injured during the shooting transported themselves to a local hospital and don't have life-threatening injuries as reported by KTLA.

A video of the scene shows partygoers being aggressive with law enforcement as they began to investigate.

Police blocked off the parking lots for the shopping center and Mobil gas station on Saturday morning.

This isn't the first time a shooting has rocked San Bernardino.

In 2015, 14 people were killed while 21 others were injured during the terrorist attack at the Inland Regional Center.

The terrorists, Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik, were killed in a shootout with police hours after the attack.

In 2021, the city remembered those who lost their lives during the attack by having all flags flow at half-staff.
