Shocking moment school girl slaps and pulls victim’s hair on bus in front of cheering classmates

A 15-year-old girl was slapped with the entire incident caught on camera - enraging the mother of the victim

A 15-YEAR-OLD girl has been attacked on a bus with the young girl pulled by her hair and slapped while on her way home.

The mother of the victim has since spoken out over her horror at watching her daughter be viciously assaulted, saying it made her feel "sick".

In the footage, the victim, who did not want to be named, can be seen to be slapped while surrounded by school children on their way home on September 16.

The attacker, who is believed to be the same age, then grabs the 15-year-old's fair, pulling her around the bus.

Parts of the video are unclear as the assault is blocked by other pupils on the packed bus, but the girl was left with her nose bleeding and later noticed some of hair had been pulled out.

The mother said: "When I first saw the video, it made me sick.

"I was already angry when I saw my daughter come home with her nose bleeding and her hair all over the place. Then when I saw the video, the incident was even worse than I thought."

She said she struggled to watch the footage, saying: "It is so dangerous dragging someone on bus while it is moving. Fortunately she was not injured but anything could have happened.

"The whole ordeal has been very stressful for her and it is still affecting her."

Footage  of the incident was sent to the girl by another pupil, which she then showed to her mother.

The mother said that the attacker and friends had been calling their victim names.

She said that her daughter had been on the phone at the time of the attack with one of the students saying: "oh, she is ringing her mummy".

The girl then tries to stand up for herself, saying: "and what does it have to do with you" when she is struck down.

The crowd of students then begin to yell and scream.

The video was posted online where it was seen more than 98,000 times before it was taken down.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “At around 3.45pm on Friday 16 September, it is reported that there was an altercation on a bus in Barnsley between two 15-year-old girls.

"One of the 15-year-old girls is alleged to have hit the other girl across the face. The victim is not reported to have been injured.

"Police have investigated the matter and a youth community resolution has been sought, which included mediation between both parties."
