Tributes to young father, 23, killed by HGV in tragic accident at Jaguar Land Rover factory

A YOUNG father killed in a tragic accident at the Jaguar Land Rover factory was "the best person I could have asked for as a dad", the mother of his child said today.
Kieren Rowe, 23, was trapped under a manufacturing tractor unit and trailer in the manufacturing complex in Solihull on Monday.
Today tributes were paid to the the devoted dad, of Tamworth, who leaves a daughter aged three.
Stacey Gilbert, his child's mother, said on Facebook: “Today my little girl lost her daddy.
“He was the best person I could have asked for as a dad.
“We grew up together and he was my best friend, then we bought a beautiful girl into the world."
Stacey, a Birmingham City University criminology student, added: “He was a pain in the arse but one of the most caring people I’d ever met.
“His life will live on in her. Kieren Rowe. Love you always and I will look after your baby.”
Workers at the car plant said Kieran had been riding his moped in a section of the plant where lorries make deliveries before he became trapped under an HGV for "several hours".
His mother, who is said to also work at the site, was reportedly there when paramedics pronounced him dead.

One worker said: “It’s awful, everyone’s in shock and can’t believe this has happened.”
Sarah Rfid Murphy wrote on social media: "My heart goes out to all his family. Such sad news. My brother works there and knows ki xx he is absolutely heartbroken. Such a young age xx r.i.p."
Lee Bry added: "Rest in peace kie. We love you and believe me you are already missed."
Solihull MP Julian Knight offered his condolences after being told of the death.
He said: “It’s a great tragedy. There are a lot of people in town who either work or have dealings with the plant, they will all be shocked and concerned.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service said it dispatched a crew to the factory at 4.30pm, along with the Midlands Air Ambulance.
A spokesman said: “Sadly, it was obvious nothing could be done and the casualty was confirmed dead at the scene.”
Jaguar Land Rover said: “We are very sad to confirm that an employee of one of our suppliers was fatally injured following a road traffic accident at the Solihull plant.
“Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with the family and friends of the individual concerned.
“We are working closely with the authorities to investigate how this tragic incident occurred.
“We have nothing further to add whilst this work is ongoing.”
Sergeant Alan Wood of West Midlands Police said: “Investigations are ongoing into the collision and we will be working with our colleagues at the Health and Safety Executive to establish what happened."
The Health and Safety Executive said it was "aware of the incident" and was working to assist the police with their investigation.
