A SHOOTING in Tulsa, Oklahoma, left at least four people dead and several others injured on June 1, 2022.
The shooting occurred at the Natalie Building at St. Francis Hospital, according to police.

What happened in Oklahoma?
Police responded to a call regarding a man walking by the Tulsa, Oklahoma hospital building with a rifle at about 5pm on June 1.
When police responded to the call, they said it turned into an active shooter situation.
Authorities reported that multiple people, both hospital employees and visitors, were seen to be shot on the second floor of the hospital.
"Officers immediately rushed to the second floor where the shooting was taking place, when they got there they found a few people had been shot, a couple were dead at that time," Tulsa Police Captain Richard Meulenberg told .

"We also found at that time who [we] believe and still believe to [be] the shooter because he had a long rifle and a pistol with him."
Tulsa resident Nicholas O’Brien's mother was staying in a nearby building on the hospital campus when he heard of the shooting.
He immediately rushed to the scene and told , “They were rushing people out.
"I don’t know if some of them were injured or just have been injured during the shooting, but some of them couldn’t walk very well. But they were just kind of wobbling and stumbling and getting them out of there."

He added, "I was pretty anxious. So once I got here and then I heard that she (his mother) was okay, the shooter had been shot and was down, I felt a lot better. It still is horrible what happened."
Was the shooter captured?
Tulsa police have not released the shooter's name but said the individual died from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Dalgleish said they believe the man to be between 35 and 40 years old, and it remains unclear if this was a targeted attack.
The alleged shooter appeared to have used both the rifle and the pistol that was found next to him and police said they had secured the five-story building in the wake of the shooting.
"We are doing a meticulous floor-by-floor, room-by-room search ... It's calmed down," Meulenberg said at the press conference.
"We're trying to connect people and we're hoping not to find any victims."
Police Deputy Chief Jonathan Brooks confirmed four people were killed and said the shooter was also dead.
Officials said they were not ready to release the names of the deceased, and President Joe Biden has been briefed on the shooting.

What was the response to the shooting?
The shooting at a Tulsa hospital is one of many in a string of shootings that have taken place across the country in recent weeks.
This shooting occurred only eight days after an 18-year-old entered Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, killing 19 children and two teachers before fatally shooting himself.
It also comes just two weeks after the Buffalo shooting at the Tops Friendly Market store, which left ten people dead.
Biden has previously spoken out against gun violence and in the wake of the Uvalde school shooting, he said, "Why are we willing to live with this carnage? Why do we keep letting this happen?”
"I am sick and tired of it. We have to act. And don’t tell me we can’t have an impact on this carnage.”
Biden has not yet responded to the tragedy in Tulsa but has been briefed, and a White House official said the administration has been communicating with local officials and is closely monitoring the situation.
Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum responded to the catastrophe at the local hospital, and, speaking at a news conference. He asked for people to remember those who worked there.
Bynum said, "This campus is sacred ground for our community. For decades, this campus has been a place where heroes have come to woke every day to save the lives of people in our community."
