Additionally, nine victims were taken to the Thomas Jefferson hospital in the city where one was pronounced dead by medics.
Seven of the people admitted are said to be in a stable condition, a hospital spokesperson told

Additionally, Eric Walsh, who was closing an O'Neal's bar when the shooting erupted, told the outlet: "People were coming off the street with blood splatters on white sneakers and skinned knees and elbows.
"We literally just were balling up napkins and wetting them and handing them to people."

Commenting on the incident, the Philadelphia District Attorney made a post on Twitter : "The terrible crimes last night on South Street tell our Pennsylvania legislators it’s time for real action.
"Boycott NRA lobbyists, boycott NRA donations, and bring real common-sense gun regulation to Pennsylvania. Now."
Inspector D.F Pace said: "But, the officer was able to get that individual to drop his gun and flee at this time.
"You can imagine there were hundreds of individuals just enjoying South Street, as they do every single weekend when this shooting broke out."
